Educational Qualification:
BE/B.Tech (CSE, ECE/IT) or M.E/ M.Tech or MCA/MSc (CS) with Science background.
Experience:
Minimum post-qualification experience of 10 years, in the relevant area.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Responsibility for delivery of all projects related to data centre infrastructure in terms of meeting the defined SLAs, Vendor Management and 24x7 Operations Management.

  2. Maintaining quality procedures, process & documentation for the same.


  3. Define policies for DC monitoring, including short and long-range, day-to-day operations, Production Change Control, Patch Management, Inventory Management, Incident Management, Vendor Management and the implementation of application delivery improvement initiatives.

  4. Delivering effective 24x7 Data Centre operations and solutions which are proactively implemented and supported to address the growing demands of business.

  5. Implement standards and processes that facilitate business alertness and the efficient use of technology investments.

  6. Deliver 99.995% uptime and availability of Data Centre operations.

  7. Deliver quality focused services all driven to minimize anomalies to include Release Management, Change Control, and Incident Management for all systems hosted within Data Centres.

  8. Manage all Software and Hardware assets that are deployed within Data Centre Infrastructure.

  9. Implement Disaster Recovery plans and procedures.

  10. Develop Policies and Procedures Document, implement, and enforce policies for data retention, security, change management, and day-to-day system operation.

  11. Manage a team of system administrators who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of co-located data centres and related infrastructure.


  12. Set priorities and coordinate all daily tasks for system administrators; provide mentoring to team members, as required; and ensure compliance with all company and data centre policies.

Essential Knowledge
Should have good understanding of the complete IT infrastructure requirements & hands on experience in Networks & Data Centre, Disaster Recovery Centre, Design and Management preferably in the Financial Services / Banking domain, ITES/Technology domain. Vendor management.

Senior Manager – Data Centre

Experience:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate and maintain all the Network and Security hardware, software and communication Equipment.

  2. Troubleshooting the problems associated with services published in the NPCI network.

  3. Monitoring and Managing the maintenance and support for firewalls and IPS, antivirus, system security of existing and new equipment in the NPCI network and coordinate with third parties who’s Equipment is supplied and is in AMC as per PO.

  4. Review of security policies for firewall/VPN policy, IPS signatures to ensure they are up to date and still valid.


  5. Coordinate with different vendors for replacement of defective /failure equipment.

  6. Review periodically the security parameters and requirements of changes occur all the time like configuration data added, removed or altered all the time; any patches or upgrades come out; new vulnerabilities and to identified risks which are vulnerable to security breaches.

  7. Regularly monitor the updates and patches available on the Original Equipment Manufacture website whenever a new patch is released and the same after going through the change management process.

  8. To monitor the logs of Firewall, IPS, in of case any abnormalities observed the corrective action should be taken to resolve the issues.

  9. Maintaining backup of device configuration, IOS Updates for router, firewall, IPS and security patch management for system etc.

  10. Analyzing and classifying critical logs generated by Firewalls, IPSs, Systems logs, events and to implement the suitable solution.

  11. Review of security policies for firewall/VPN policy, IPS signatures to ensure that they are up to date and still valid.

  12. To have a periodic Security Review using Security parameters and requirements changes occur all the time like configuration data added, removed or altered all the time; any patches or upgrades come out; new vulnerabilities and to identified risks which are vulnerable to security breach.

  13. Management of change requests and configuration changes.




Essential Knowledge
  • Firewall, IDS/IPS, PKI and IP Sec security.

  • Working Knowledge on data centre environment.

  • TCP/IP protocol stack and IP addressing IP Routing Knowledge on Cisco Platforms. IP Applications Knowledge: DNS, DHCP, RADIUS.

  • IP Routing and switching testing and troubleshooting IP networks..

  • Vendor Management.
